It was a pleasure to welcome back Steve Hobson (drums) & Ian Booth (guitars/vocals) of Haint and Fredy Moita (guitars/vocals) of Nomadus to the show. Steve contacted me a few weeks back in relation to a charity gig he was putting on for raising much needed funds for cancer charities in Northern Ireland.
Haint had been off the live circuit since last November when Ian was diagnosed with Lymphoma. It was his diagnosis, as well as others that Steve knew who were battling, or in some cases had tragically lost a battle with cancer quite recently that spurred him on to raise funds in support of Cancer Focus, Belfast City Hospital Cancer Unit and Southern Hospice Trust.

It was a pleasure to welcome back Aaron Loughnane (Vox/Guitars) & Eoghan Galligan (Bass) of sludge/stoner band Slung From A Tree. Aaron, who produced the entire album has worked a minor miracle with their debut. He has moulded and twisted this slab of molten metal which contains crushing cosmic forces, swirling wormholes and stellar musical abandonment into a seven track LP aptly titled 'Voyage Into Cosmos'.

It was a pleasure to welcome Nathan (Vocals) & Ocean (Guitars) of War Of Attrition to the show. The band play a ferocious mixture of thrash, groove and gritty metal that hits all the sweet spots especially when witnessed live. I caught up with the lads just before they do their debut EP launch of 'The Social Apocalypse' in their favourite city, Limerick.
