<description>Irelands premier and award winning Metal Music Podcast. The Metal Cell Podcast sets out to promote the Irish Metal Scene by talking to the bands, promoters, artists and fans of this musical genre. I hope to interview as many generations as possible involved in the Irish Metal community from those who create the music, design the artwork, promote the gigs or simply fans of the music itself. It's one of the most exciting times ever to be a Metal fan in Ireland with so many home grown and international metal bands touring our cities and releasing incredible music. This Podcast has become a solid link in communicating our voices throughout the world wide Metal community. The bonds forged in the Metal Scene are strong, loyal and lasting. Friendships created that traverse oceans and continents, which saw the podcast charting in Europe, the America's, and Asia. Thank you all for listening and for your support, Richie. #supportyourlocalmetalscene

<description>The Metal Cell set up in the historic Triskel Arts Centre Cork to meet Chainey (bass) &amp;amp; Max (drums) of OHHMS before they headed off to play Ritual of the Evil Eye festival by Paranoid Beast Productions. The lads were terrific interviewees and shared some great stories, exclusive news in relation to a new release and general chats about the history of their band. The performance they gave later that night was immense and will live long in the memory for those lucky to witness it.

<description>The Metal Cell was delighted to sit down with Andy of The Crawling in the beautiful surrounds of The Triskel. I was fascinated about the many roles he undertakes to help make The Crawling one of the most important bands in the Irish Metal scene. We talk about his Vlogs, production work, creating the bands videos and his work with Kerri and brother Paul from Grindscene Records. The Crawling have put down a busy year with tours both here and the U.K. Andy gives us a great insight into the previous eleven months including cassette launches, reporting at Bloodstock and dodgy Walkmans. It's a great interview and Andy is without doubt a key member of our Metal community so enjoy, convert and share.
Songs: Wolves and the Hideous White &amp;amp; A Time For Broken Things (c) The Crawling, 2019 all rights reserved.

<itunes:subtitle>On the 21st of April 2018 Mossy started up the first Paranoid gig in The Poor Relation. It caught many of the metal community in Cork by surprise. Then followed a further five Paranoid gigs each drawing bigger crowds and praise from many corners of the Irish Metal Scene. culminating in the Ritual of the Evil Eye at the end of a successful year for Mossy. The brand Paranoid joined up with Con Doyle's Subtle Beast Promotions giving us The Paranoid Beast for 2019. The future of the Cork Metal scene is secure and healthier than ever thanks to the professionalism and passion Mossy has brought to each gig and future ones to come. </itunes:subtitle>

<description>Mossy's contribution to the Cork and Irish Metal Scene in one year has been nothing short of immense. Born and raised in Cork, his enthusiasm, vision and passion for metal is backed up by a professional approach which is second to none. The fact that he is 'sound' adds to the many ingredients needed to run successful metal shows in Cork. On this episode Mossy talks about the Irish and Cork metal scenes, the influence of stoner metal on him, the gigs he went to since he was a kid and his collection of art that has rival collector Lars Ulrich looking over his shoulder. He also talks about upcoming Paranoid Beast Promotions that feature Dead Witches, Wolf Council, Elder Druid and Soothsayer on the 19th of April in the Spailpin and The Magnapinna, Damage Grows and Red Sun Alert on the 27th of April in Freds. The 2019 Monolith Festival on Aug 3rd in Cypress Avenue. Shout outs to Room 101, Peter at DME, Magnapinna and Howard, Jim Tobin, Con Doyle, Pat Clancy, Judgment, Kemikill, Dead Label and Grey Stag. It's a great interview so please share it, leave a like on fb and any feedback is much appreciated. #supportirishmetal
